In This Expensive And Stressful Environment
The cost and complexity of living comfortably in Singapore is rising at an alarming rate. I work with students, fresh graduates and their parents to optimise their financial portfolios — unlocking both time and cash flow to focus on what matters most.
The Reality
Singapore's cost of living is rising at an alarming rate. Between inflation, rising property costs, and an increasingly complex financial landscape, most people find themselves working harder but feeling further behind. Good financial planning isn't a luxury reserved for the wealthy — it's a tool that should work for everyone, at every stage of life.

He is one of the youngest Associate Directors in AIA Financial Advisers and the 2nd fastest to be promoted to that rank in the firm's history. The Method
Basil uses two proprietary tools with every client — a bespoke financial system built to give you clarity, direction, and a plan that's genuinely yours, not a generic product pitch.
Tool 01
A proprietary goal-setting framework that maps your FIRE number — exactly how much you need to retire comfortably, and the monthly contributions required to get there 5–10 years earlier than you thought possible.
Tool 02
A detailed cash flow map that shows exactly where your money goes, where it should go, and what becomes possible once it's optimised. Most clients discover untapped assets within the very first session.
Areas of Expertise
To help you take ownership of your wealth and plan your financial life — with a complete picture, not a piecemeal product-by-product approach.
To protect what's precious — your health, your income, and your family's future.
To live a financially free life through structured, goal-based investing.
To ensure that you live a life that outlives you — with income that continues long after you stop working.
To optimise your mortgage and understand where your property fits in your broader financial picture.
To ensure that your assets are passed down to your loved ones exactly as you intend — with minimal friction and maximum certainty.

Notes from students, NSFs, professionals and business owners after working through their cashflow, goals and planning decisions.
After my consultation with Basil, I realised that it's time to start thinking about the future, because after looking at the financial freedom calculator, I started to realise how quickly things add up and how a small problem can become a large problem. I started to understand how starting now can make a big difference even if it's not a lot of money now.
I also like that he is actually planning for my finances - looking at options that I have given my current circumstances and goals and the focus isn't on selling me anything.
Today I set some realistic goals, and realised I should start investing earlier to hit my retirement goals. Found out there is a need to balance between long term and short term financial goals.
I had my first session with Basil today. We went through budgeting, setting investment goals and retirement planning. It was a useful session for me to see a breakdown of my expenses over the years, how much I need to save, and my projected cash balance after my studies.
Basil is someone who is passionate about helping others improve their financial stability. He clarifies doubts and provides insights on various areas like CPF and housing policies to better meet the goals of his clients, and I'm thankful for the insightful session we had today.
Thanks man, we had a great chat just now. I found the Cashflow Analysis and Financial Freedom Calculator portion really insightful as it gave me a clear financial goal to work towards. Also, thanks for patiently answering my questions. Looking forward to our next appointment haha.
I think the biggest thing I learnt is that my investments now can drastically affect things like my ability to buy a house and there is a need to map things out even till years after I graduate. I like that Basil was much more focused on my needs instead of just trying to sell plans or something, which is what I experienced with another agent. I also enjoyed that the session was casual and fun.
I learnt that even though retirement doesn't seem important now, it is quite important to start planning for it early, even maybe now while still in NS. I also like that he is clear and thorough with the planning.
